Question about validating physics SP211 for HS seniors who are appointees for class of 2017. DS is taking AP Physics B and Calculus B as a senior in HS and doing well in both. Does the AP Physics B class adequately prepare kids to validate SP211, or do the kids that validate SP211 typically take AP Physics C in HS? Any thoughts are appreciated.

I took the validation test for SP211 yesterday. All those in advanced physics at NAPS take it. Anyone taking AP physics should have a decent shot at validating it. The most advanced stuff it really covers deals with waves (while there is a bunch of simpler stuff as well).

The calculus will be helpful, but not necessarily needed to validate SP211.
