the #51 cadet in the nation last year was a Clarkson Engineering and Management major (high 3.x GPA). He played a year of Prep at National Sports Academy in Lake Placid before I brought him to Clarkson. He tried out, but never made the team as a walk on. Didn't look out of place, but wasn't ready/no room for him. He spent the next 4 years playing club, and helping our cadet team dominate the intramural leagues and the Air Force ROTC team in our annual matchup.
We (our ROTC Battalion) scrimmaged Fort Drum's team (the Moutnaineer's http://www.facebook.com/MountaineersHockey ) last year. It was a great matchup, and I'm looking to get on their schedule again this year.
There is a ball hockey rink in Kandahar, built by the Canadian Forces.
