My parents surprised me today saying my dad and I would fly out from Korea to colorado next week to visit colleges. Of course AFA is the highlight of my travels and I was wondering what to expect on the tour and for people who have gone on tours is their anything you would have done different. Also depending on how everything plans out I might have a free day to go skiing or a half day to visit places around colorado. So my last question is if I go skiing where is the best place to go for one day (I can ski any terrain) and if I cant where are some awesome places to visit in Colorado Springs, Denver, or Fort Collins.

    Colorado visit

My husband and sons ski/snowboard. Their favorite place is Keystone Resort. The military offers a Liberty pass (for active duty and cadets) to Keystone and A-basin that is a fantastic deal.

A beautiful place to visit in Colorado Springs is Garden of the God. Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City are nice places to eat and shop as well.

Enjoy your time in Colorado.

The treats reference was a question of mine about AFA from reading the USNA site. Everyone there suggests you bring your plebe treats, but I was not finding that same advice for cadets on your AFA visit. I would think cadets would like treats too:redface:

We are not checking baggage so can't bring brownies and cookies but maybe snack size candy?

Maybe some cadets can chime in if they would like or would have liked "treats," or if that is just a "silly" USNA thing

I've heard to bring the cadets treats as well. Such as when the newly recognized 4 years take an upperclassmen's car, to repay them with well gas money and their favorite snacks! Not sure on the visits though! :thumb:
