VMI overnight--OK to take goodies?

Would it be acceptable, and appropriate, to take homemade cookies, brownies, etc., for the rats during overnight visit to VMI? I'm sure the rats would love it but wanted to be sure it was okay.

My son did an overnight last spring and he said that it was fine to bring Rat food ...they appreciate it.
