DS was wait listed for Scholars program last year in early action process. He did not get in. I understand that there are a very few spots for even fewer CGAS spots (maybe 30-ish ?). Ultimately he is at MMI now as self-prep, doing the same program, but without a guarantee and on our dime. It has opened more doors of interest to him so not all is lost. He is reapplying to USCGA, received nomination for USMMA and is interested in a couple of Maritime Academies as well. Hope you have better luck than we did, but don't rule out the MMI route that CGAS cadets will go as a viable alternate.
