USNA told you that you are 3Q?Gotcha. Possibly I could be having an appointment soon? I am 3Q with a nomination.
What kind of waiver is it? Color deficiency will limit Mids to restricted lines or Marine grounds. All Mids will have a commissioning physical during second class year (junior) and the result could put limits on what is allowed.Does anyone know if having a waiver can affect what my DD will be able to do after graduation from the Academy. I want to be sure she won't be limited in her duties after graduation because the USNA granted her a waiver. Sorry if this topic has already been addressed. Didn't see anything. Thanks
With a LOA, all she needs/can do is to get the paperwork in order to let admissions decide on the waiver and be qualified in other areas. Based on what you have been reading on the forum, you are expecting it, correct? Thanks for the reply. That makes sense. It's for asthma. She's actually never had it, but has to get a waiver and take a test because at one point a few years ago she had a single prescription for an inhaler for a cough. She has an LOA and a nomination. Just trying to get the medical completed. This stuff is crazy stressful!
I don't understand. I thought a waiver meant that he would received an appointment?DS got his TWE email today. The color vision waiver approval definitely got our hopes up but glad it's over and we can move on to plan B. Good luck !!

There was a kid who has a LOA got his waiver for asthma in JUNE last year. He was the last entry on USNA 2020 thread. Let's hope your DD will be cleared long before that!Just a long, stressful process.
DS mentioned today our area BGO coordinator said we have about 1/3 of the Class of 2021 hopefuls from our area still waiting for word on their status. Hang in there everyone.
