DS sent you an email. We appreciate any help. Thank You

I understand the waiting seems to be the most stressful part of this process. With the new portal for USAFA showing a green check for DodMerb exam but the Dodmerb site showing under waiver review, is there a way for my son to be able to determine whether a waiver is being sought?

Son should follow the instruction in my post above from Feb 19th:wiggle:

I hope no one has asked this yet Sorry if this is repetitive.

I finished my DODMERB med and eye exam in September and was medically qualified. In October, I sustained a 2nd degree AC separation in a football game. I had to report it as I had not finished my CFA and needed an extension due to my injury. My shoulder healed nicely and I was fully cleared by my sports med doc. Sent everything in to DODMERB. In January I received a Medical Waiver for USMA and I am medically qualified again. My USNA still says under waiver review. Is there anything I should do? Does anyone know if this means I will be turned down? I have 2 nominations for USNA and one for USMA. Thanks!

I'm trying to understand the waiver review process for USNA. The Dodmerb site says his application is Under Waiver Review. And his USNA Portal says Complete - Pending Review. But multiple folks on the forum have said that USNA doctors don't begin medical waiver review until USNA offers an LOA or conditional acceptance. Can anyone offer more insight on the USNA process? Thanks!

Q = I'm trying to make sure I understand timing here. I think I've read all of the background stuff. If you are DQ'd and you earn a conditional appointment from the academies, you have until April-May or so to get a waiver?
A = The information/decision is an Admissions decision

Q = For AROTC, is the timeline similar?
A = No....but you can't be contracted and start receiving scholarship $$$ until waiver is granted and you are contracted:wiggle:

Thanks very much for this. My son's waiver was granted for USNA and received an appointment, but is still waiting on his ROTC waiver. Would it make sense to have him email you to check on the status? Or should he just wait it out, and hope it comes before May 1. Without the waiver, I don't see how he could choose a ROTC path, especially if the waiver decisions are independent from one another. Thanks again.

My son received a "Letter of Assurance" from USMMA and DoDMERB status is currently "Under Waiver Review". Is the "deadline" for possible Waiver April 15 or May 1? (Also, he's also "Under Waiver Review" for USNA but doesn't have an LOA/Conditional Letter. He also has "conditional" ROTC Scholarship with status of "Under Waiver Review". Are those deadlines also April 15 or May 1?)
