they've been posted on facebook in the Naval Academy 2013 group page. Does anyone know for sure if they're combining every other company for Plebe Summer? i.e.: 1st and 2nd are Alpha Company, 3rd and 4th are Bravo Company, etc.

From every source I've read that will happen for plebe summer. Really knowing ahead of time what company I'm in doesnt really affect much considering we will change companies at the end of PS.

When did the Academy revert back to shotgunning the 4/c after camp tecumseh is over?

they don't shot gun after plebe summer. 1st and 2nd companies make alpha company over plebe summer, 3rd and 4th make bravo, and so forth. they skip juliett. each number company is a platoon during plebe summer and then tehy join their entire company during the academic year.

for those parents who don't know, your company is your family at the academy. you eat, sleep and train with them and if you do intramurals you play sports with them. they are your lifeline while you are there, your best friends.

That is partially true. Some people find great ways to alienate themselves from their company mates and end up being hated on even after graduation. That is not a wise path to take. It can greatly impact your quality of life during and after the USNA experience. Don't be a joe.

Some people play on sports teams too so they don't spend any time with their company. Your company is not everything. It really depends on who you are.

The company letters were mailed today, so you should be able to find out what company your plebe is in within the next few days.

The facebook link was taken off within a few hours after it was posted.

Maybe once the letters are received we can start posting who is in which company...
