I looked through all of the threads regarding LOAs but really couldn't find what they look like. Does it say directly on the letter that it is a Letter of Admission? I recieved a letter yesterday stating that the "Admissions Committee has reviewed your application and you have been found fully qualified. Although fully qualified, we have not yet recieved a nomination for you. No offer of admission is possible without a nomination."

I don't believe this is a LOA, but rather a letter like the USNA stating I am scholasticaly qualified.

Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks.

Drumsrock,

My son's LoA is from July (so I don't know if more recent LoAs are different, but I suspect they are the same). It starts off by saying:

"Congratulations! The Admissions Committee has recommended you for an appointment to the United States Military Academy. Accordingly I have reserved a cadetship for you contingent upon.........You must send the Admissions Office your..........or this letter of assurance will be withdrawn. When these matters are resolved, you will be appointed a member of the USMA Class of 2014........."

Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!!!

Which academy did you apply to? I believe LOAs from all the SAs differ in their wording. I swapped LOAs with a friend who also got an LOA from the USAFA and they were very different

My son has LoAs from 3 of the SAs, they are all different. The only one that actually says "Letter of Assurance" is the one form USMA.

Well this one is from USMA and from what mumsyto3 said mine isn't a LOA. Thanks for the help though :)
