If I were to submit more than one test score, do the offices usually take the best of each like the academy does?

The best answer is a definitive "Maybe". The MOC's have a huge range of standards. Some want the application parts sumitted as you complete them. Some want one complete package sent and no other inputs. There is seldom time between submission and interview to take an additional SAT/ACT. Simply ask the respective liaison(s). Some MOC's may accept additional inputs, but the logistics and paperwork are a HUGE undertaking. Florida MOC's have about 500 apps for USNA alone. Do your best and do your homework. Good luck.
