My son is C4 when are they allowed to leave after graduation? Can they get out in time to fly out that after noon (he is on break for first 3 weeks) or do they have to wait until the next day? Thanks, looking to book flight soon.

If he has leave for the first summer period, then the first day of that period he would be allowed to leave. There are a few transition days after graduation before the first summer period begins. I think that the Saturday after graduation would be the first day of the first summer period.

Yea; as stealth said, the day after graduation ISN'T when 1st summer break starts. It's a little bit later. there is usually some down time after finals is over, but they can't go far; because they need to come back for graduation. Those who live nearby; within the 150 mile perimeter, might go home, but only for a couple days. A couple days after graduation; I believe Stealth is correct, that it's the following Saturday; is when the 1st Summer period starts.

Your son should check in with his squadron to what time he can sign out on Saturday as they may have duties to perform etc. My understanding they use the days after graduation to pack up their belongings to move them to storage till he receives his new summer room assignment after first summer session. When he returns from leave to report to second summer session that is when he will receive his room assignment. He may want to bring a couple ABU's home with him so he has that when he arrives back to USAFA he may not be able to access his stuff right away depending upon the date and time when he arrives back to USAFA to report in. Due to our local (AK) and flight schedule my son at times may have to leave 1 day later and return 1 day early to meet the required check out/check in times. If his summer room assignment is not ready to due arrival back hours or day early my son asked his cadet friends if he could sleep on their floor till his room was available.
