Where do LOA's come from?

My DS was in the same boat. EVERYONE we talked to strongly encouraged us to seek any/all noms. His Prez was merely a form for me to fill out, no sweat on his part and it updated on the portal within a few weeks.

Shocking to me, he went thru all the MOC interviews and grabbed the primary slot for our congressman.

I had a cool discussion with a mom at the MOC interviews regarding our logic and in effect, "taking up a slot that could have been used by her son." While this may be indirectly so, he was chosen by a committee and congressman as their candidate. Don't think I wasted anytime fretting over this spilled milk. Its the MOCs decision and we're supposed to just ignore this fact?

Who's to say the left over presidential slot was used for another fine candidate? The academy does what the academy wants to do. We read, listened and followed every recommendation. I advise future candidates to do the same.

Well I'm glad someone said it. For a week now I've been wanting to say 'The same place babies come from'!. I must say, I like your way of expressing the same idea a bit better. :biggrin:
 
Try a LOA and a DQ two weeks later. That was one rough up and down time. Worked out though.:thumb: I was going to say the leprechauns deliver them.
