No....if you accept the Falcon Foundation scholarship, you are sponsored by USAFA....
No. If AFA is paying for your prep school, that is your only option. With the Falcon Foundation, you have a golden ticket to the academy. Abide by your contract, stay out of trouble and any of the schools will get you your appointment. What you need to ask yourself now is, "what type of prep year do I want?"[/QUOTE
SO if you do the Falcon Scholarship, you can still be appointed to another academy?

Yes full year of credits! He was a self prep with no scholarship. Received appt. to USMMA waiting to hear from AFA. There are many Falcon Foundation kids there. I don't believe the AFROTC scholarship applys at Greystone. Feel free to contact me directly.Did DS get college credit? Would a AFROTC scholarship work for that program? Also was DS on Falcon Scholarship? Did he get appointment this year?I would consider Greystone at Schreiner University. My DS is there this year and he has had an experience of a lifetime.

With all do respect, LT. General Kelley, The President of the Falcon Foundation, told us directly that we should strongly consider USAFA since they had gone out of their way to prepare us. However, he indicated that should we decided that USAFA was not for us, we would simply be responsible for paying back the Falcon Foundation. It's important to remember that the Falcon Foundation is run by the AOG and has a strong tie with admissions. The Falcon Foundation is not, however, part of admissions.
It is the school my DD chose this week with her Falcon Scholarship. The location... is definitely not a party town! Which is a good thing. We loved the new obstacle course they have just finished building. Looks like great facilities overall and good leadership there from what we saw.Marion Military Institute provides a good balance of academics, PT, and military lifestyle if that is what you're looking for. While its location isn't exactly optimal, it's affordable and you'll make some great friends. I'd love to answer more questions if you have any. Good luck in your journey!
Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA) in Front Royal, VA offers an excellent prep program with a very dedicated and professional staff, instructors, and mentors. Great location - northern VA and close to DC.
It is one of the listed/sponsored prep school choices for USAFA Falcon Foundation Scholars.
All (100%) of the Falcon Scholars - DS along with his 7 other fellow Falcon Scholars have all received their appointments for Class of 2021.
Did you get the falcon scholarship offer after the TWE or at the same time?I received a falcon scholarship offer this morning, and am beyond excited. However, I have heard mixed reviews of the schools. Specifically, does Northwest Prep prepare students adequately even though they transfer for second semester?

When do you have to accept or decline the scholarship by?I never received a TWE. I got an email telling me to check my portal, and the offer was there.

Did you go there with a FF scholarship or on your own?I went to NWP a few years ago. Feel free to send me any specific questions, I would highly recommend their program.
This is an older thread. There a few newer NWP threads if you do search. Lots of NWPsters ready to help.Did you go there with a FF scholarship or on your own?
