White envelopes

But the recipients already know they needed a waiver and got it before the envelope arrives? If you are 3q and didn’t need one - it isn’t a waiver.

As we all know… at the amazing speed the government works… some of these mailings are weeks behind what portals show.
lol my son mailed me his license plates from Cuba to cancel his insurance. I guess he only pays like 5 bucks a month being on base.

Three months later - still haven’t got them.

We haven’t seen any TWEs… yet. Generally the first round are those who didn’t complete an app, failed CFAs, no noms or something else. Early March is usually the first wave of those. They usually come via the portal these days and the board will light up with them.

Yes but the point is it comes in A WHITE ENVELOPE TOO. Consider it a public service announcement meant to help when checking the mailbox

I mentioned it before, but my kid got a NETC (Naval Education Training Center) letter after his Plebe year congratulating him on his NROTC scholarship (which he got just before his appointment) and letting him know what to expect for his NSI dates.

Which had passed.

Over a year before.

🤣🤣

I keep getting letters asking for donations. ;)

The best one was an army recruitment letter when he graduated USNA.

Thank you for this thread. I had no idea they send written notice too. Turns out his white envelope wanted to let DS know in writing what the portal showed 6 weeks ago! Medical Waiver. However I guess it is important that it says he can commission (if appointed) in the unrestricted line. Does also provide some additional legal verbiage about said waver.

Beats a TWE! Doesn’t beat a BFE…. But we are about the small wins In this process

My DGS got a TWE via email and the portal this week. He had 3 noms, passed CFA, and passed DODMERB. However, we know one kid from his state was a principal nominee from a senator and another had an LOA, so DGS was competing with the rest for the remaining slot. He does have an appointment from USMA, so while he's disappointed, he's taking it well. He's still waiting on NROTC before deciding on appointment to USMA.

3 noms and a TWE this early? Shouldn’t he have been entered into the NWL?

First TWE I have seen this year. Best of luck to your DGS.
I had checked my BGO portal this morning and had zero TWEs and after reading this plus a new email from my Area Coord, I just checked
again and now have three turndowns on my list. None of them had done more than 1 of their required application pieces so I did not
consider them to be viable candidates. It is important to note that I have a couple of candidates who did submit most /all of their required
things but do not have nominations and neither has been officially turned down thus far.

Checked the portal as well. Same situation. None of the TWEs had come close to completing an app.

Same. Those in my portal that were turned down had very little progress in their applications. Fingers still crossed for a few remaining.
