Would an applicant be disqualified for an academy if she took meds for ADHD up until fall of 2021 and graduates in 2024? As of this date she is a NHS, 4.0gpa, Honor courses, no IEP, JROTC officer, holds leadership positions in high school, varsity golf, concert master in chamber orchestra. I would appriciate Andy suggestions or advise.

ROTC and the service academies all go through the same DoDMERB review. They are either Q or DQ. They don't pay attention to the academics or leadership piece. DoDMERB is a unit that serves all the officer accession programs and are based in Colorado Springs. If they pass then they are qualified for all the programs that use DoDMERB such as USMA, USAFA, USNA, Army ROTC, etc. etc.

If they receive a DQ, then each program conducts a separate waiver review. So USMA could conceivably grant a waiver while Army ROTC says "no" or vice versa.

Thank you, I apologize for not stating its brother and sister in postings. I didn't want to confuse readers with one post two situations.
