Hi All. My son is headed to the Naval Academy tomorrow for summer session #2. I am proud and overwhelmed at the same time. So much paperwork, preparation (for him) and emotions (for me)! I am so thankful there is a place to share my concerns, questions and feelings.

I hope he enjoys! Oh, and please ask him (and let me know!) if the USNA is as fierce against the Army as USMA is against the Navy... During SLS, everytime we took a sit at the mess hall or briefing hall we had to yell at the top of our lungs "BEAT NAVY!"

Oh NASS has a very strong Beat Army pull. Every night when you sing Blue and Gold (the alma mater), it ends with a very strong BEAT ARMY! Best thing at the end of the week was the whole Battalion singing Blue and Gold and ending it with a BEAT ARMY. I got chills from it because it was so strong and with so much passion.
