DS had a few interviews for appointments-
He has option to do in Person or on Zoom.

What are your thoughts?

I recommended DD last cycle to opt for in-person if evaluator gives that option.

There is something about in-person that cannot be duplicated in virtual. Demeanor, body language, confidence and the opportunity to be there and look into the eyes. Sometimes Virtual creates distraction and today’s generation have attention deficit.

Vitual is great for sharing info and prelim, but given an option I would always recommend in-person if choice and opportunity provided.

I am old-school and hence my thoughts.

I also would recommend in-person if the evaluator gives the option. In addition to the reasons txfwindian listed above, there could always be tech/connection issues with zoom.

As a candidate whose already had their nomination interviews, in person is definitely the way to go. Ofc txfwindian and ProudMom7 hit it on the dot, something I would add is it gives a candidate a chance to connect with the panel, something you can't do online.

Always in person! IMHO, the ability to have a conversation face to face is becoming a lost art.

In person. It’s much more comfortable for both!! Hands down in person.
