Hopeful USMA Class of 2028 : a place to play the waiting game together.

My ds received a twe (file was closed due to lack of nominiation) and that message is on his portal as well. It is just a system-wide announcement.

DS is not 3Q yet - his says the same. I think it’s on everyone’s portal.

My DS is 3Q, was on the NWL, but then received a TWE. His portal is still open and also had the same message.

Same, i heard that it’s gonna stay yellow until we actually get reviewed by the board for appointment

Trying to figure out what ‘accepted candidates’ means and this is what I found on west-point.org…so it seems like the messge in the portal that we’re all seeing is really just meant for those candidates that have received an appointment and have accepted that appointment…so agree with @bethf - seems kinda mean to put it in everyone’s portal haha - likely a mistake.

When they accept, they accept their "appointment" and become accepted candidates. On R-Day they become New Cadets. After Beast Barracks and when the Corps returns in the late summer and accepts them into the Corps, they become full-fledged Cadets.”

If you can't click on it then it's only what the accepted candidates see. DS sees this on his end but he has accepted and can access this.

Great news. Congratulations! How did you first find out about your appointment? Was it on your USMA portal?

So sorry to hear !!! They should have waited until May 1st (the deadline to accept/decline) ! But on the other hand, I would rather hear USNA to make their decision early -- TWE or not -- so my DS can move on !

It was nice to hear something early so he could move on this year. He is really excited about plan B, plus still waiting to hear from USNA and USAFA.
