2024 Summer Seminar

Does anyone know if the email notices are released in a 'block-like' method, where approximately 100 acceptances are sent out at a time, or if it operates more on an individual level?

Thanks for all of the updates! And congratulations to all of the students who have been accepted! I'd love to know how acceptances are released as well. Have they released acceptances for all three sessions or are they still only releasing acceptances for session 1 (as most people seemed to indicated)? Any insight on the process is appreciated.

On the USNA website says, “Students will be notified of their status via email no later than Friday, April 26, 2024.” The Naval Academy begins sending out acceptance emails for NASS the last week of February and you will find out through the end of April if you were accepted or not.

I was accepted into session 3, but I know many people who haven't gotten a response when they are signed up for sessions 1, and 2. I believe it is a rolling admissions system so even though you might have selected session 1 you might have applied later than someone who selected session 3. Don't worry about it though, you'll receive an email either way, they won't just leave you wondering.

Good Afternoon, As a point of reference, my DS was notified Tuesday Morning (3-5) that he has been accepted to the 2nd session. He applied in early January. Waiting to hear about USAFA, but apparently nobody has received acceptance yet.
 
Is it correct once you submit your Summer Seminar app that you cannot update the ACT scores provided? Also, once you submit the app you receive a generic submission email and that's it - is that correct? You can't see a copy of what you submitted or check the status? TIA

Last year DD requested a session change, but the admin couldn't switch. Still worth trying. DD applied to the NASS around the end of March.

Just a generic submission email and that's it. You can email the updated ACT score to summerseminar@usna.edu
 
Did anyone get an email confirming after Docusign? I received a docusign completion email- but no follow up confirmation from USNA.
 
Reminder to all, not being accepted to NASS is not an indicator of competitiveness for an appointment. NASS is an outreach meant to hit many geographic and demographic areas. It is a great opportunity to experience a day in the life.

Our DS did not get into sumner seminar and was a bit devastated. Turned out it had no bearing on him earning his appointment.
