USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

What does pending for your status mean? my status has been pending since I submitted my application I had everything needed for my application in before jan 31, except my bgo interview, my officer submitted it after jan 31, I did the interview in late December. Will I still be able to receive an appointment?

Yes. Everyone remains in a pending state until a decision is made. You had all items submitted before the deadline. Even if your BGO submitted it in Feb you would still be fine. That is on them, not you.

Hey! Count your lucky stars that you're 3Q not sitting in medical DQ country!

(though at least I'll know if I'm going to be offered an appointment soon if they reach out for a waiver)
 
Checking my portal after a while and the bgo interview i had all the back in December has had a checkmark since then but not it has a received date. Probably doesn't mean anything but interesting it took this long.

Feel like I'm watching the NFL draft in slow-mo. The best players have already been drafted. My DD's HS friends, who have appointments, scored high 30s on ACT, and great extra-cir. So happy for them! He scored 29 ACT, 4.15 GPA, 2 noms, and was captain of HS sports and still pending. Losing hope.

There are still appointments going out, my summer seminar roommate received his appointment today.
