USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

I know the waiting has been tough. My sources in the Admissions Office (contacts in low places) have told me that a glitch in the Academy portal software will necessitate that all future correspondence with Class of ’28 candidates will be conducted through the USPS (snail mail) beginning 1600 (GMT) today. As such, official candidate notification could run as late as Mother’s Day. Hang in there. Good luck.

Also forgot to note that my transcript was submitted late November if that makes a difference.. i am worried 😬😬😬
 
That is definitely a good sign! My portal changed from "Pending" to "Complete - Pending Review" one day before I got my appointment. Good luck and hang in there!

My admissions portal still says “pending” and no medical waiver has been initiated by USNA on my behalf. I have already submitted AMI for USAFA and NROTC. Is anyone else in a similar position? I deem myself a competitive candidate and have attended Summer STEM & Seminar. Hoping for an appointment but it looks like the time is ticking away…

My DS is in the same boat. Someone just posted in the DoDMERB forum that USNA just initiated a waiver for them so hopefully there is still hope! Good luck to you!

My DS is also still pending..also went to summer seminar and STEM and has noms from all 3 sources in our state and we just keep waiting! he passed all medical so no waiver needed there but still "pending". we do know of a couple appointments in our state I believe there are still a couple to come...fingers crossed for everyone as this anticipation keeps building each day!

Congratulations on your appointment! Did you receive a call from your Congressperson before your portal was updated?
