USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

Son just got the "wait-list" notice....He'll likely decline and just head to Notre Dame Navy ROTC, which is honestly probably a better fit for him. Best of luck to all those out there, regardless of whatever path you take for a commission. In the end of the day, a commission is a commission.
If your son goes to Notre Dame he can watch the Irish CRUSH Navy in football lol. Notre Dame is a great school, amazing ROTC programs

Still pending in GA-10 with a medical DQ but under waiver review
Same here in Pa!!
Woke up early.... I saw TD for my daughter. Her dream of being on the Yard with her sister is over but she has an awesome Plan B with USCGAS or USMMA. Two great options and really excited for her future. She really worked hard for these opportunities.

It has been fun, nerve-wracking, and stressful, but I enjoyed sharing the ride with everyone. On to awesome plan B's!! I wish everyone great success in the future... Go NAVY! BEAT ARMY!
sounds like you have raised some very incredible humans! Best Wishes to you all as you navigate the next chapter.

Thank you. DS received a response from his BGO agreeing it was worth looking into and that he'd see what he can find out.
My DS was a re-applicant PNom (it did show in Java Script). He was TD last week, then put back to Pending to be TD yesterday. Only thing that has me question the portal is his colllege transcripts box is still unchecked. I also, believe they must have really went through the package with a fine tooth comb.

Rooting for your DS to get pulled off the waitlist ……

That annual crushing (usually) generates a staggering amount of revenue for USNA athletic programs. It’s also a long-standing game rooted in deep gratitude and mutual respect. The Navy kept Notre Dame open.

There are plenty of stories about this, but this link has more of the historical details.

I am well aware of why this historic rivalry game still occurs. I am just saying it must be nice as a student at Notre Dame, football is especially big at Notre Dame and a big part of the student life there, so it's nice when they win.

Others aren’t aware. It’s a fantastic story. It’s one of those great games, that will be played, outside the NIL/conference whatnots that erode the spirit of athletics, imo. This is one of those “special” games. Beyond the score. There are fewer and fewer of these nuggets.

Appreciate the share, CaptMJ.

I often write my posts for the many who “lurk” here. Many are not aware of that story.
