USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

I gotta give the flip perspective! I wish yall still here pending and still have a shot at it, all the luck in the world, however what’s worse is what so many of us on here have gone through, either ourselves or our DS or DD. Multiple years of effort and work and dreaming and hoping and working and to be turned down not once but twice and sometimes three times. With no explanation, just the way the puzzle fits together and trust the process. Many have not have even gotten waitlisted or pending this late. Y’all don’t feel lucky but you are. Good luck but please remember you don’t have to wait, you get to wait and that is a gift. I hope you all receive appointments and good lucky sincerely!
+1 on the sentiment, but the poster you're repplying to is on his 3rd try. I would be getting bitter too

Speaking for USNA Foundation students, most of us have a CPR status in our portals. Some have received news of appointment via phone call from MOCs; however, our portals still show the CPR status. One of my friends who received the good news today said that the appointment will appear in the portal on Saturday according to his MOC. It seems like those who have a CPR status have an appointment that hasn’t officially been loaded into the portal.
You are currently a foundation student from last year seeking an appointment for this year? Or an applicant with a CPR for foundations this year?

I agree with you 100%! we have a 100% more of a chance than the people sadly rejected. We really do have a very good chance, and we should be thankful for that. I'm pending for right now, but ive been praying a lot that I do get in. I'm full blood Navy and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've been wanting to go in since I was a little kid, and to get this far is truly an honor to me

Besides NAPS itself, what other preparatory programs does the Naval Academy have with other colleges, and how many usually go into those programs? (other than NAPS)

I'll give you my perspective. I've gotten 9 noms in 3 years. Was waitlisted and turned down with 5 last year. First question at each nomination interview was "how are you not there right now?" I've gone to the April 15 deadline 3 times. Rated top 5 percent by my BGO last cycle. Ranked 1 and 2 in my FITREPS in NROTC last year. I understand how it feels to get rejected, and I'm probably getting rejected my third year. I'm the opposite of lucky. Everyone says it doesn't matter, you're going to commission in 18 months, but no one understands what its actually like to get rejected by your dream school three times in a row, despite every person saying I should be in but admissions. I have been in an application cycle for 33 months. They told us April 15th, then the end of the week, what's the next promise they're going to make?

There's a list of foundation schools somewhere.. I don't exactly know for sure. I know my closest is in Georgia and theres another in Alabama. The foundation schools I have seen are just like a lot of other colleges, they might just have more military focus.

I feel for you. It's gotta be tough to deal with that. I honestly think you deserve this more than a lot people. I'm praying for you to get in. people like you are what the Navy needs!

I'm in the same boat as you, hoping we're both in!

Persistance and persiverence!

I'd really like to be a fly on the wall in admissions right now. It'd be neat to know the process and how fast things are moving.

Any chance they're moving alphabetically?

I called the office today to see whats going on. They don't seem too peachy at the moment and I don't blame them. I don't think their teams huge, and they have to go through 12k-16k applications yearly.

I promise you they've seen your application, and with the fact that you're not rejected or waitlisted it means that you're still in the running.

Keep your chin up! often times how you present yourself is the result you get, even if no ones watching.
