USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

This is tough. Just know, nothing is wasted. Katana's become what they are through a lot of heat, hammering and folding, heat hammering and folding. When you do get where you're going you're going to be the kind of officer we need. Good luck!

Anom, I am a "long-time listener, first-time caller" here. I have been following your story over the past 2 years. You have helped so many other applicants with your positivity and tenacity. I think everyone here on this forum was pulling for you. My momma heart hurts for you right now, but there is no doubt that you will come out of this disappointment stronger than ever. You will make an amazing officer. I proud to know that someone like you will be serving alongside my DS.
 
Not my favorite time of the year. We really do get invested in posters, and root for them. It’s painful.

You all are special people, and you all will get through this. It might not be pretty, but in 5, 10 yrs and beyond, this will be a tiny blip on your life radar. I say that a lot, but it’s so true. This will be a story on your life journey of where you eventually end up.

Like Anom said….remember your mates here, who wanted it so badly, and didn’t get invited to the dance. When you are feeling down during your time at USNA, remember. And choose gratitude for your invitation.

Y’all are gems 💎 and this doesn’t define you. Be sad, sure. But adjust and look forward. Whatever path you choose, make it a good one. And choose gratitude 🙏
 
Latest update from BGO was, "The latest word is that they are trying to get all the selections made in the next week." heard that friday afternoon.
 
Has anyone received a reversal from TD to waitlist? My DS received an email today from Melody Hwang in admissions, who I believe I’ve seen on here as people receiving correspondence from. It says that they have taken another look and have placed him on the waitlist. He was turned down last Tuesday. Obviously good news, but curious if anyone has seen this before. I was active on checking the forum up until last week but with the TD we all took a break. Thanks

Yea I received correspondence from her too. My status went from TD to waitlist.
 
For those still pending like me, I just called admissions and they stated they still have a few applications to go and that they are discussing right now. They should have everyone accounted for in the next couple of days (allegedly)
