The summer after my freshman year I had a bar put into my chect for Pectus Excavatum. The bar is to be removed the summer after my senior year, which will hopefully be when I enter AFA. I was wondering if I would have to get it out before I go to BCT, or I could probably wait untill after BCT then get some kind of leave to have it removed? (it is out-patient) but I have to be on meds and probably wouldn't be able to do much physical activity like pushups, etc. for a week or so, would they let me get away with that? This is all assuming I get in, which of course I'm going to work as hard as I can to get in. And of course would ask my ALO about this as well.
