NROTC - Marine Option

If I do Navy ROTC, when I choose what branch i want to do (Infantry, Armor, Etc) and I choose Marine Corps? And then the Marine Corps put me wherever they need me, I don't get a choice?
 
Your choice to do Marine Option will come when you first complete your ROTC application. It is one of the first things they ask you - (Navy, Marine, Nurse Corps.)

Your MOS selection will depend upon what happens after your senior year in college. You go to TBS (The Basic School) for 6 months. Based on your performance, needs of the Marines, and your preference, you will be given an MOS.
 
Does anybody know when the Marine Option NROTC scholarships go out?
 
Im not sure how often the boards are. I recieved notice back in December. Is there another board after February?
 
I think the final board for class 2015 is this month (February). My son says it's the 25th but I don't know the date myself.
