Our DS is currently working on plan D, attending Univ. and enrolled crosstown in AROTC. He sent an application to the battalion in July, followed up and was told he was good to go. Has been participating fully with the battalion (pt, classes, color guard and two weekend field exercises so far) and loving it. He was informed that there are two campus based scholarships that 5 MSI's would be competing for. Filled out the necessary application and submitted it. He reported for pt on the day that the board would meet only to be told that his paperwork was not in order, and that he could not particpate with the battalion other than attending class until it was rectified. He was also told that since his paperwork was not in order he would not be considered for this current scholarship board. Three of the other cadets received the same notice. Our DS is certain that this is the first he has heard of any paperwork glitches as they apply to his participation. Anyone else think this is weird? 2 scholarships available, and the day the board meets three of these cadets who apply are told their paperwork is out of order?
