I looked through those 10 pages and didn’t seeing anything regarding USAFA.Using the Search function, I found 10 pages of posts. Maybe your question has an answer there.
Should it turn red again instead of the green check next to transcripts? In the candidate packet in your portal there is a paragraph about 7th semester official transcript grades that need to be submitted as soon as they are available to the academy either through the schools electronic system or by mail. My school finished my this week because of the urgency.
Not sure. I was just concerned when I saw it on another thread, so reached out to my admissions person and she said that it needed to be to them before the end of the month. I think because it is listed in the packet in the portal they don’t send a email out like the Naval Academy does, but just guessing. They are closed Monday for Holiday so my is arriving there Tuesday.Should it turn red again instead of the green check next to transcripts?
I would ask your admissions person just to confirm.Do I have to submit them even though I already have an appointment? Or do I just send them my final transcript when I graduate?
From the Search functionThe Instructions to Candidates Booklet states that, "If your transcript was sent during the first semester of your senior year, you must ensure that your high school sends us a transcript with seven semester grades as soon as they are available."
My 7th semester transcript will be released this week. I am wondering if I should just have my high school counselor email a PDF of the updated official transcript. That is what I am planning to do. My application file has been complete for 2 months now, I got a nomination in late November, and I am medically qualified. This is only thing that I really need to take care of at this point in the game. Just wondering how others have approached this since there is no form or anything to print out and give to the high school counselor from the application portal like there was for the original transcript submission.
Since admissions has already calculated my GPA on their adjusted scale to be a 4.7, will they recalculate a new GPA for me based on these new grades? I suspect my school's GPA will be dropping slightly due to a B in Calculus 3 (real tough college level class, so I am not too worried about this negatively affecting my application).
With our school, we can order online to have sent. Maybe you can, too?How do you submit 7th-semester grades electronically? There's no option on the portal?
I did check with the counselor - they don't use Parchment or Naviance. So they were going to send them; however, no one seems to have an address to send it to - I've checked the instructions to candidates booklet, online, google search.. I have found a general address; but that is all.I saw this in the candidate booklet like people have said above. Even though the portal doesn’t ask for it, I had my counselor send it online through Naviance. I think each school/counselor has their own system, so I would ask your counselor at school to see what is best.
One would think! Once it has been received, it will be listed as a second high school transcript under documents. If USAFA demanded mid-year grades, wouldn't it be a checkmark on the portal?
One would think!
I completely agree; however, it is only listed in the small print of the instruction to candidate booklet. My DS portal is COMPLETE, he is medically qualified, has nom and is just waiting to hear. The USAFA counselor emailed him requesting to submit 7th semester transcripts; however, we don't know where to send them. Of course, he emailed her asking where - but we haven't heard anything yet and I'm sure (as you mentioned) it is rather difficult to keep up with all the candidates.... This is why I was hoping someone had already been down this road, lolIf the USAFA absolutely demanded mid-terms, the requirement wouldn't be buried in small print at the end of a paragraph in the candidate booklet. Without the mid-terms, the portal states "complete" as of today. Just think of the workload trying to individually remind "complete" candidates to send in mid-terms!
