Word from the yard is Army v. Navy will be played in Annapolis this year. :D:D:D:D:D:D

Just heard from my DS the game will be played at Michie Stadium I guess we will know for sure when they make the news official.

And over in Facebookland the rumor is at West Point?
Hahaha! Well.....DD is not a football fan...and she has been known to mix things up. I don't want to share misinformation, but she was fairly certain. Hopefully I don't have to delete this thread in shame. :p:cool:

Either way I am happy the game will still go on - but I hope they make the announcement soon so I can cancel my hotel rooms in Philly (was holding out for a miracle!

Ok, DD was misinformed. It's at WP. Now, how do you delete a thread????

The Thayer Hotel will see a boom in requests. Get them in now and good luck. It is a beautiful Hotel but a long walk up hill.

The Navy will be destroyed! 😁 😁 😁

So you have the Marine emblem as your photo and you seem excited that Navy ‘will be destroyed’. You do realize that the Marines are a part of the Dept of Navy and if you participate in ROTC or attend a SA, you will wear Navy uniforms and be affiliated with the DoN, even if on Marine contract?

Too funny!

Maybe @NathanaelTippen is just trying to channel Lt. Kendrick from “A Few Good Men.” 🤣

You do realize that even though that may be true, the Marines are better than every branch.
Every branch except for the Marines has a special ops team, the reason for that is the Marines are a "SPECIAL OPS" team.

So, just to point this out as you are new... I served as a Marine Officer. And you are wrong on the Spec Ops... it’s called MARSOC. It is the newest Spec Ops out there and has only been around 10-15 years, but Google should be able to help you out with researching. And what does that have to do with my comment?

Trust me I am extremely proud to have been a Marine. But I wear my USNA and Navy Basketball t shirts with equal pride. It was my college. My best friends have served and continue to serve in the Navy and Marine Corps. You haven’t earned the title of Marine yet. You haven’t earned the right to give other services a hard time yet. As you will see from the vets on this board we all love our respective services and give each other a hard time, but we have earned that right. It’s done tongue in cheek. It’s what vets do. Each service has its own nuances, mission and culture. If you hate the ocean, the Navy wouldn’t be a great fit probably. If you want to drive tanks, it’s the Army. There are tons of factors. For many candidates serving in any service is fine, for others, a specific one is a better fit. Stay motivated for the Marines, do your research on primary sites (ROTC and/or SA sites), and get in shape.

Its core capabilities are direct action, special reconnaissance and foreign internal defense. And honestly I don't know, I'm sorry for being arrogant.
I'm 16, thank you for pointing this out to me, hopefully everybody does this so I can learn more.
