Has anyone recieved an acceptance letter for the SLE this summer? I just heard the Naval Academy summer seminar decisions came out today, so I am getting anxious for the USMA ones to come out.
I also received a noncommittal email from admissions.I received a noncommittal email from admissions regarding my USMA app but nothing about SLE
I agree, what in the world is a 'noncommittal' Quite confusing.hello, can anyone tell me what is 'noncommittal email'? Thanks
I believe as of right now USMA SLE has not gone virtual, but that could change pending restrictions from the state. However, I believe that NY is lifting some domestic travel restrictions on April 1st so I assume USMA is waiting to hear any guidelines from the state. Also does anyone know if one or both of the Summer programs for juniors are virtual? Looks like the Naval Academy ones are virtual (which ¨virtually¨ defeats the point) but is SLE at West Point been moved to virtual as well?
My understanding is that the USMA noncommittal are just stating whether or not you will be a competitive applicant. I have not applied for a congressional nomination or submitted ACT/SAT scores yet, so I do not believe a noncommittal means guaranteed acceptance.I believe it is an email in which you confirm or pay them if you want to go. You can still opt out at this point so that they can admit someone else. I did get my USNA Summer Stem noncommittal email a couple days ago yet these are rolling admissions so this may not apply to yours.
Right- the noncommital means that you have finished your candidate portal registration for SLE- right? My understanding is that the USMA noncommittal are just stating whether or not you will be a competitive applicant. You have to pay when you commit I believe.I have also received my acceptance for NASS but am waiting on SLE. The letter I got from USNA says I have 10 days to commit to attending. I definitely want to go but if it conflicts with SLE (and it is in person) I will choose SLE. Does anyone know if we can cancel after committing, or any other advice for this situation? Thanks!
I am not sure if they overlap in dates considering the academies are most likely taking into account that some people wish to attend more than one seminar. If they do overlap I would pick whichever one you are most interested in, taking into account if the NASS is virtual.I have also received my acceptance for NASS but am waiting on SLE. I believe they will be in an email. However, I have been checking my portal just in case. Still no news.Has anyone still not heard from USNA about the Summer Seminar, I want to make sure I did not accidentally delete it while I have been constantly checking my email. When the SLE acceptances go out, will they appear by email or in the cadet portal on the SLE link that leads to a black page?
