What did you say? PITBULL performing tonight for the Mids?

Not my cup of tea, but i imagine that the MIDNs will enjoy it. :)

Many artists do Brigade concerts
or reduced prices.

All that stuff you buy at the Mid Store in store or online? Proceeds to Brigade Fund, which helps fund spirit toys at games, concerts, fun stuff. So if you were looking for an excuse to buy something…

Will not be my mid’s cup of tea, either. But Pitbull is a righteous guy.

Any Mids here attend? How was it?

They certainly experienced all extremes this semester...from isolation and quarantines to concert bash! It looked great from the clips I saw. My mid was busy finishing a paper so unfortunately it was just background noise to him. Happy to see a return to normalcy!!!

My DS (who fronted a band in HS that played Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyd, Cream, Neil Young etc) said it was very fun and made him feel “normal” for the first time in a while. It was a great thing to do. The few pics I saw showed masks down or gone.

My mid is a HUGE fan and had the time of her life... got a pic with him afterwards that was posted on his Instagram. Studied all day today but was hoarse from all the singing. So happy for the “normal” to return! 15 days and a wake up til Herndon😳

My mid LOVED it! He said the night was great, the food was great (tacos-real cinco de mayo celebration) and it was nice to just let loose for the first time in 15 or so months. Its been a rough year there - so this was appreciated on a whole other level!

I’ve actually read quite a bit of debate ‘from old goats who were there’ about the origins...some strongly say it was actually NAPS. Same end (USNA), but different beginning. Very cool either way. And seeing the crowd chant it at The concert was amazing. An impressed roadie put it on their Instagram story!!

I bet it was a neat atmosphere for the performers...a welcome back to performing. I believe this was their first, similar to Pentatonix (who performed earlier for them), live performance in front of a crowd in a year.

I appreciated the ‘normalcy’ of it all....
