I did too.Anyone get an email from Utah about their ROTC program?
Me too. Could be based on a list of the scholarship winners but maybe not. Guess we’ll know soon enough.Anyone get an email from Utah about their ROTC program?
I also did.Anyone get an email from Utah about their ROTC program?
Yup. DD got one for University of Utah from the ROO but this is the second one even before the first board deadline.Anyone get an email from Utah about their ROTC program?
I got an email from them as well but didn’t list them as a school of interest.Anyone get an email from Utah about their ROTC program?
I could be wrong, but my kids didn't hear from ROO until after the results were official. One is graduated and one is Rook now...Anyone hear from Norwich yet?
Yea but I'm 90% sure it's a spam email for people who applied and doesn't mean much. But I have been getting more ROTC emails than I used to...Anyone get an email from Utah about their ROTC program?
There should be no pause to apply early action - it is not binding and in some cases like at Purdue allows you to be considered for additional merit monies. Scholarship decisions really don't impact a decision to apply EA unless you're saying that you won't apply there unless you have a full scholarship. You'll also be notified earlier at schools that don't have rolling admission. Generally there are hundreds of scholarship winners who don't make it to commissioning and to serve. First year is a walk-away penalty free/ take a free year option, but once you start your sophomore year at school, you're on the hook for the whole thing. So plan accordingly. If you can't afford the school without a scholarship, just know you're carrying risk.Still nothing. Do you think they'll be out today? It would be great do know by today because it is the early decision/action deadline. I would assume the scholarship probably has some bearing on applications.
Congrats to your DS! My DS applied for AFROTC, thought he had a competitive application, however he did not make the 1st board. Status is 'reboarded'. The message on the application portal said there is nothing that can be done to improve his chances for the 2nd board. You advise to improve certain areas so I am curious - do they run another report on grades or anything else since first application? Thank you!DS went through the process last year and is a MS1 now. I will say this is probably one of the more enjoyable parts. Its kinda of like watching the football game and you don't know the final outcome. You are so nervous cause you care so much. You have seen DS/DD give it their all.
Improve certain areas if you aren't selected the first board. As I mentioned before DS went to the 3rd as where most of the scholarships will be given. Waiting between the 2nd and 3rd board seemed like forever.
After they win their is still so much to do before their first day on campus. Enjoy this piece a little and enjoy the wait with some of the best people this country has to offer.
Which Service? My portal just changed to boarded everyone! I don't think I have ever felt this nervous in my life
