I was wondering if DS should have his wisdom teeth out before IDay. Do I need to report that first and after or should we wait?

That's a decision between the DS and the dentist.
No, "you" don't need to report anything ...DS... the applicant...does need to report it if those are removed to assure there were no complications. :wiggle:

Thank you. He’s still a minor so I actually am involved…but he can report to DOdMerb. I wanted to make sure He didn’t negate his qualified status by doing the procedure. Thanks again.

It would only have a negative effect if there were complications...He already txtd me and said he would pay for it by doing extra chores around the home... at least that's what I thought he said after he told me endlessly how great his Mom is:wiggle:

My son may be getting his out over spring break, he has a consult this month to determine. If he ends up getting them out should he just email you and what type of info do you need? Thanks!

Post extraction by a week and report on whether there are complications:wiggle:

Mids sometimes have wisdom teeth removed during leave periods. Also, if they don't bother you until later, a Navy dentist can remove them, as happened when I was an O-1.

My family dentist, a retired military dentist, removed mine well before I went to OCS, doing one side, healing, then the other, noting, “let’s do this the easy way, because they’re gonna come after them at some point.” Then, years later, in my late 30’s, another one grew in, to my astonishment. Navy dentist handled it very nicely, noting “teeth had their own minds.” Memory just popped up.

My wisdom teeth were removed 3 years ago and I reported this on the questionnaire. Should I be prepared to get documentation that I did not have any complications?

Mr. Mullen - @MullenLE - I have my DS wisdom teeth medical record and an activity clearance. Who do we give it to? Same DODMerb through applications process or, at this point, should we wait for the PTR packet and then include somehow? Thanks, in advance, for your guidance.

"WE" are too old to apply. :bang:

Your DS....the applicant...can send to his DoDMERB Case Manager:wiggle:
The first sentence was not needed to answer this question and attempt to embarrass the poster. She appears to be a fairly new member asking an honest question, and may not be aware of the 'rules.' I am quite confident her son is very hands-on. No need to publicly bang your head against a brick wall.
