USNA Class of 2027 Waiting and Speculating

They called my daughters number yesterday. That number is only associated with her, not with the family. We have a landline for family business. Why would they call her for townhall meeting or solicitation?
depends if shes of voting age, normally if you are of voting age or will be soon they try to push for you to come to the town meetings

Turned down.

Would be a shame to give up the ship before i’m even on, right?

Time to find out the email of my new congressman’s office, get ready to obliterate another CFA, and move forward. The B&G interview was fun, and I’m excited for another.

Wish I could know who received the appointment from my district, I bet they are a heck of an amazing person.
I am sorry to hear this, but I applaud your optimism and resilience; you have the attitude of an amazing officer. If I may ask, what district and state were you from, and do you have any knowledge of why you may have been turned down? If you do not want to answer, I completely understand.

I recently checking in on this forum and decided I'd make an account as the clock ticks down towards the end of decisions. I am a second time applicant and a freshman at the university of Arizona studying aerospace engineering and just joined NROTC as a non-scholarship student this semester. I finished my first semester with a 3.5 GPA taking a STEM heavy class slate with 18 credit hours. This is the second year in a row that I applied to the academy and have had both a presidential nom and AZ-08 congressional nom. Last year I was informed of being turned down on the 14th of April and this year I am still CPR today! Hoping to get a ring from Congresswoman Lesko soon! I am the son and grandson of academy grads and my brother is a 3/c mid there right now. Good luck to all other applicants! WISH ME LUCK!!!!

I have no monkey in this circus, my DD is waiting on the USAFA side but I lurk over here for fun. You guys are far more entertaining with useless speculations and appointment conspiracy theories, we dang sure don’t have a magic 8 ball over there! So thanks for adopting me during this incredibly stressful waiting process lol.

Hello! I’m wishing you all the luck on receiving an appointment to USNA! Our son is waiting as well. Im reaching out because he received a 4-year scholarship and was planning to attend Embry-Riddle but their NROTC unit hit capacity - so now he’s left scrambling to apply to colleges. He has applied to U of A and I’m wondering if you can tell me what your experience has been like, especially with aerospace engineering, but also any contact you’ve had with their NROTC unit and the school in general. Feel free to private message me. Thank you!

Thank you for your kind words. :)

I'm from Texas, and haven't found out why I've been turned down yet, but I'm inquiring now.

Auburn has NROTC and a great Engineering program.

I hate to state was is probably obvious, but she called the MOC academy coordinator back today, right?

Please also consider ASU. Our son admitted to aerospace engineering at ASU but won't be accepting. They have NROTC and, on the whole, the engineering department much stronger and higher rated than UoA. The autonomous vehicle track for aerospace majors is very innovative and relevant for future military service. Deadline to apply is July 1, I believe. (Don't come at me wildcats - I'm just calling it as I see it).

For some reason when I tried to send you a private message it said that "wildcat26" can't accept private messages, so it must be something in your settings...?

Nothing jumping out at me in the settings. Could be something about my account being brand new. I'll check back later and try again but I'm happy to offer any advice or experience that could help you and your son!

I’d like to throw RPI in the ring! They have a super NROTC program (my son loved the director, they talked for two hours, he was NE at RPI then captained a sub). I know their Nuclear Engineering program is ranked top ten but I don’t know how their aerospace engineering program ranks. Good luck finding the right fit!!!:)

You have to be a member for a certain amount of time, and have a number of posts, before PM is granted. That’s why you cannot message.
