USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

It appears from the list that the appointments are rolling out each Monday? Can anyone confirm if this is true? Has anyone received one yesterday or Monday last week? Thanks.
 
DD’s LOA left her portal last night. My guess is conditional appointment pending. Will let you if/when it pops up. Thinking back, I think her LOA *did* post on a Monday.
 
Ok, my LOA also disappeared yesterday, so my best guess is an appointment will show up next Monday? But I have no idea if the appointments are actually posted on Monday. On the Self Updating List forum the majority of people posted their appointment on Mondays

Congratulations on your appointment! I saw you received your appointment yesterday (Monday) on the Class of 2028 page. My DD’s LOA also disappeared last week just like yours and she received her nomination just before Christmas. No appointment showing on her portal yesterday as we may have expected. Did yours show up in your portal or were you notified another way?
 
DD’s LOA disappeared last Monday. Yesterday, a conditional appointment showed up.
 
Congrats to all of you with new appointments!!!

We are still awaiting noms in our state and are working plan b and c in the meantime. In past cycles, our Congressman has made an appointment announcement or two by now - nothing this year. Not even a nom announcement from other Congressional Districts. Im guessing it’s a competitive year and Senators/Congressmen will release together once the Academies evaluate nomination worthy candidates. And, our Senators rarely release before the final week of Jan. So, here we wait! 🙃

Im not sure how to to actually make a quote on these forums, but to answer your question:
The LOA disappeared part way through last week, and then the appointment showed up in the portal the same way the LOA did, with the yellow letter saying "Decision Ready" and then I could click on the view letter and this time it was a letter of appointment, where I had an option to decline or accept. Then later that night at 21:30 I received an email saying there was an update in my portal.

So an email and a thing in the portal - the same way it was with the LOA. Hope your DD receives the appointment soon!

Thank you for the info. We experienced the same LOA disappearance last week but nothing yesterday or today. That said, we do see something on USPS Informed Delivery that is leaving Maryland that says it is from USAFA. We have to wait and see…
 
DD received hers on Monday. No LOA but she was blue-chipped so we were pretty comfortable with the process once she easily cleared the standardized test thresholds. Friday AM she received (but did not answer) a call from her MOC.....VM left just saying she had called, so we again were pretty comfortable that this was coming. Yesterday portal updated -- she was VERY nervous but also confident so opened & after celebratory hugs she immediately accepted. MOC called her back again this afternoon to let her know about appointment -- very cool & she was probably just as psyched about getting a call like that as she was the actual appointment......
 
My son received his MOC nomination last week. LOA disappeared today. We are hoping for good news next Monday!

But the waiting game for USNA continues. I have put "pending" in the list of words not to use around our house.

Congrats! My LOA also disappeared for USAFA today? Does that typically mean they are updating the portal?
 
Anyone from VA who has non-PNom got appointment or LOA? I don't see anyone from VA in the appointment list thread.
 
DD has LOA and conditional appointment. Felt premature to post, given the potential to not receive a waiver. Though she has an amazing Plan B!

You guys from VA? Hoping for the best for your DD! My DS has also plan B in place and completed everything but no LOA and DS is not PNom. So the wait will be long!
 
We’re in VA11. DD got her LOA for USAFA on 12/18 (has had LOA to West Point since Jan), and receive Kaine noms to both on 12/21.

Best of luck to you and your DS. I’m honestly not sure, if she gets a waiver, whether DD will go USAFA or do ROTC at Cornell…
