The NROTC does have a limit of credits that can be transfer for a scholarship recipient at 30 credits, but it seems this rule may have some bending possibilities as what credits transfer over has merit. So how does it work when your kid goes in with quite a few college credits? Can they request an extension to obtain a Masters? I am not super excited about the idea of a 20yr old commissioning.
NROTC Credit Limit

If the unit is fine with her going for her Masters, then it shouldn't be a problem. If it is, then most of those credits will not be able to be used at college. the NROTC also requires more than just 2 semesters a year of Naval Science classes. There is also 2 semesters of Calc, 2 semesters of Physics, 2 semesters of English(writing), semester of History, and semester of cultural/regional studies.
Basically it seems like the point of the rule is to be in college for 4 years minimum.
