    A-N Football

Yes, all true. But my Mid graduated in 2013, and now attends as a fan as opposed to being a Mid, so I'm in charge of tickets. Absolutely a Bucket List item - this will be my 12th (and her 11th) consecutive game. Yes, the seating section depends on whether designated home or away. But...

    A-N Football

Tickets just started arriving in the mail to those who purchased. My yearly question prior to starting my search for tickets: What sections will the Midshipmen be seated in for the game ? 124-128, or 131-136 ? I want to purchase tickets in the appropriate corner. Also, oddly, the Navy...

    Still....send a chill and sheds a tear.....

DD (USNA '13) and I attended her 12th consecutive A-N game. She's scheduled to be in California in 2017, so it might be more complicated, but still planning for both of us to be there. Military connection or not, I always tell people that it's an experience like no other.

    Army/Navy game festivities

Two Questions: (1) When you say "Game tickets secured," do you mean that you have actually received your tickets ? It is when those go out that people like me start looking for a couple to purchase (i.e., Stubhub). (2) Does anyone know the corner in which the Midshipmen will be seated...

    Phone Call 2

Fair warning, and I don't know if DD was odd in this regard, but PPW was the absolute low point for her. She was, prior to that time, able to push the homesickness out of her mind. Us being there made it much more difficult for her. So, just in case and because you never know how your kid...

Sad mom moment - DS & baseball

Ok, I haven't jumped on here in ages, but this raised a topic that I try to pass along re sports and USNA. DD first expressed interest in a Service Academy in January of her high school freshman year. She turned out to be a First Team All-State soccer player by her senior year. So she...

    A-N Football

Yes, midwestmom is correct. Confirmation from the USNA Athletic Dept that the Midshipmen will be in the 131-137 corner.

    A-N Football

Thanks. While the link you attached says it's for 2015, if you go to "armynavygame.com/gameday.php," and hit the "Stadium Seating Map" link, you get the exact opposite seating arrangement.

    A-N Football

What corner of the stadium will the Midshipmen be sitting in ? The Sect. 122-128 corner, or the Sect. 131-137 corner ? Thanks,

    Welcome Home.....

It would be great if he made the Eagles. I'm sure it would be nice for him to win a game in Philadelphia.

    Cross Eye Dominance

practice, practice, practice DD is left-handed, but right eye dominant. Had to learn to shoot (rifle, pistol and bow) right-handed. But did that long before involvement in military. The first time I saw her draw back a little kid bow left-handed and try to site it with her right eye, I...

    Mysterious Letter

LOA surprises Talk of a possible LOA and the accompanying surprise took me back to October 2008. DD had her application in and various letters were going back and forth due to medical issues. Mom got small thin envelope from USNA at home, called DD (who was just finishing soccer...

Zoomies are reporting that Navy v Air Force is canceled

Making a point The game was going to be broadcast by CBS. Both schools were going to make more money that what was being spent to play the game. This decision is for the purpose of making a point (shutdown = inflicting pain to the public), not about the inability to spend money.
