    Hello ADK69,
    It seems you may be from the Adirondack Mountains of NY....my son is in the process of applying to the USNA for the class of 2022 and any suggests you have on your experience of applying from our part of the world would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    I am near Saratoga Springs, NY. My advice would be to really focus on interview skills. At this point the academics and leadership activities are complete. My son also applied for ROTC and thought he bombed the interview (and did not get a scholarship). Lesson learned! His MOC interviews were with groups of 5-10 people most ex-military I think. I think those interviews and the BGO are critical.

    Second get the medical part done as early as possible b/c you never know what may come up. My DS got LOA in January but did not get medically cleared until early May.
