DS confirmed the same this morning. We are wondering if this email is the formal “permit to report” or if there is an official letter (via email) to follow. Regardless he has started on all the requirements/ documentation. Exciting times indeed!

Oh yes… work is already in progress. Will be good to officially see the permit letter (just to make things official in his mind). All good !

DS is looking forward to the PTR email. Last night he received the host family questionnaire and responded.

My DS took the CFA in both the Inspire and Summer Seminar. This worked out well for him but certainly every candidate’s situation/ experience can be very different . I would highly recommend practicing the required events before hand to have a general gauge of readiness.

DS’s BFA arrived today. It’s quite nice imo. Likely many are showing up in mailboxes across the country about now.

Same w/ my DS. Yup the USAFA BFA is very nice. My DS is checking the mail box everyday for USNA’s.

Yup my DS received the same Friday Jan 19th. He ignored it as he has an appointment and is deep in the post appointment process.

My DS received an email from congressman confirming nomination. About 2 weeks later he received an appointment confirmation via email. He had an LOA so that may have expedited the process. No phone calls or traditional mail.
