    My DS just accepted a Falcon Foundation Scholarship to NWP. Can you shed some light on the 2nd semester? Are there certain courses you are required to take? What is the recommended way to use that second semester?

    Currently, I'm attending the second semester at a community college back home. I had to apply and get into the college. I pay completely for the second semester. Currently, I take Calculus 1, Physics 1, English 1, and Chemistry 1. He can take higher classes and if the school doesn't offer one of these four Mrs. Durbeck will figure something out or ask you to apply to a different college.

    I recommend using the second semester to spend time with family and if possible have a job. My job allows me to "practice" having clubs after school as will be the case at USAFA. A job also had allowed me to deal with the stress of customers while the stress of school. I get to help pay for college as a bonus.

    We haven't applied yet, but it was suggested as an alternative in case my son does not receive an appointment or the option for prep.

    Wow I didn't see these posts. I revieved it March 16th of last year. It was with a wave of acceptances. I had friends get it all the way into may. After may we didn't hear of anyone getting a scholarship. It's also possible for admissions to reject then later receive a prep option.
