What are my chances for Army ROTC Scholarship?

Cannot stress enough how useful (and free) Khan Academy is for the SAT!

Please give opinions on my chances of getting an Army Rotc scholarship

Awesome extracurriculars! As stated previously, ACT needs significant improvement for a scholarship. COVID might give you some leniency, but it doesn't hurt to get a 28+. If you find the ACT isn't your thing, go for the SAT. Khan Academy is an awesome resource to prep for that exam (and it's...

    DoDmerb and Support Dogs

Thank you for your response. If the clarification stands true, like I said, it's understandable, and I've even thought of some other ideas. Unwarranted rudeness and disrespect on a public forum (that isn't Reddit) is uncalled for however. My problem stems from the hypocriticalness of the point...

    DoDmerb and Support Dogs

Thank you for your response. I feel as if my post has been cause for a misinterpretation of my thoughts. Understandable, as it is simply text one's reading. For clarification, I am not in such a miserable mental health crisis to be a cause for concern, rather, the idea was provided in the...

    DoDmerb and Support Dogs

Hello, I was wondering if there's any concern DoDmerb has over support dogs. My RA this semester had suggested I look into getting one after a discussion of some stress I was having with the academic side of things (STEM majors are harder than they look and online classes don't help). The...

    Changing majors in AROTC

Your major doesn't dictate branching. You could major in gender studies and end up branching infantry if you wanted to. The only exceptions I can think of are if you plan on further education for select careers (educational delays for nursing, medical school, law school, etc) where it wouldn't...

Is AROTC cutting back on 4-year scholarships?

My school had 5 AROTC 4-year winners out of around a 60 person incoming class this fall. The ROO did note that this seemed to be a lower number than years past. He stated the Army's going to give out 4-years to kids they think earned it-therefore it's appropriate to assume that there may have...

Any Scholarship Recipients Rethinking This Year?

As the son of a Chinese immigrant mother, I thought it was a comical name for it.

    Chance at AROTC Scholarship

Unless you have some club/intramural sports going on atm, you'll probably not be able to "make up" the sports category.

    Closed gym facilities at university

Invest in a weighted vest and try some calisthenics exercises. Squat, push, pull, do whatever you need to do. I assume you'll want to maximize the weight to somewhat keep your gainzz. As far as price, my personal suggestion would to get weighted plates from Rogue and put them in a cheap plate...

    Stipend Information

Update for me as well: Clarified that usually the APFT is taken way before school starts here, so that's why it was initially waived. That being said, I technically contract on Monday the 24th (verifying docs?), despite taking the APFT (and urine analysis) Friday, the 28th. Weird.

    AROTC transcript

9-11 transcript is what's required. You'll also notice inputting your GPA that it only counts one additional decimal place (ex. a 3.87 GPA would be inputted as 3.8).
