  • Good luck to her! Sounds like she is well prepared! My son did well on the SAT but a bad year of sophomore grades and remote learning during covid really killed his GPA and he’s at a 3.1. No varsity letters but plenty of other activities. He will major in Political Science. He’s already been accepted to Norwich and has decided he will attend there. Hopefully they both get the scholarship!

Same for my kids during remote in sophomore year. They rebounded hugely in JR yr and I think ROTC takes that into consideration. My DD loved Norwich. Where are you from? We are from CT. Norwich is best known for the Cyber Program

We are in Huntington on Long Island. My son rebounded somewhat as well from sophomore grades but a few grades in the 70’s really hurt an overall average. His stand alone junior/senior year average is like a 95 gpa but it is what it is. I think he’ll be fine. My son loved Norwich as well, we did the overnight visit back in November and he was sold on that campus.

Well, make sure he trains before getting to campus in August otherwise Hell week will be rough. By October 2022, the Norwich ROTC attrition rate was high... I think I remember seeing a post in this forum saying about 35-45%
