    Post Calc 3 math

Well, I got rejected. No matter; I probably wasn't ready anyway. I'm reapplying for the class of 2019. Assuming I get in (big assumption obviously), I will have already completed calculus 3. In fact, I'm able to take an additional semester of math post calc 3 prior to going to USNA. If I'm...

    Second thoughts

Thanks everyone. :) Could someone shed light on: 1. The career of a USAF intel officer? The official site descriptions are a tad nondescript. How competitive is intel? 2. How competitive is ALO? 3. Is UAV a separate path entirely, or is it an airframe that can be assigned in UPT...

    Starting NROTC as a junior

Due to a series of unfortunate events, I wasn't able to apply for an NROTC scholarship and didn't go to a school with NROTC. If I transferred to a school with NROTC for my junior year, would I be able to commission through NROTC?

    Second thoughts

I'm in a less-than-perfect but workable position. I applied to USNA and USAFA; did not receive a nomination to the former and am awaiting response from the latter. To be honest, I've always been a little more interested in Navy and Marine aviation, but I decided to apply to USAFA because it...

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

I was more curious as to why exactly I haven't yet been rejected; given that I'm from a state that has had many, many acceptances and rejections already you'd think I'd have been rejected by now since I have close to zero chance of acceptance statistically. Either way, it doesn't really...

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Thank you. Is a nomination need to get on the waiting list? That's another thing I've heard conflicting things about.

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Not saying I don't believe you, but I've heard the exact oppose several times. I'll go ahead and ask USNA.

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Don't know about NWL but I've heard conflicting information about whether a nomination is needed for NAPS. I'm fairly sure you don't need one. Any confirmation of that?

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Oh believe me I'm very aware of that. I'm still in the running for USAFA, so that's better than nothing. Should that not work out I have a plethora of back up plans; but I'd still reapply and give it one more shot.

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Speaking of NAPS--I would kill a wild boar with my bare hands to get into NAPS--I already indicated my interest in NAPS/foundation. I don't suppose there's anything else I could do to get in at this point? When is the latest NAPS and foundation offers are sent?

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Only thing that could happen is I could theoretically get the VP nomination; obviously I'm not holding my breath. I'm not sure if one can be wait listed without a nomination.

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Judging by the appointments thread, quite a lot of candidates from my state have already heard from USNA (I live in a very competitive area). Hopefully a miracle will occur and I'll somehow get in; if not, perhaps I'll have better luck next year.

Why haven't I been rejected yet?

Unfortunately I didn't receive a nomination to USNA. Since quite a few candidates have already been rejected, I'm surprised I haven't been axed yet. I'm not optimistic (or naive) enough to interpret that as a good sign, I know my chances are close to nil. Just a little curious.

    Question about drone strikes

Thanks to everyone for your input. At the end of the day, I suppose these are largely policy questions rather than military ones. It's an interesting world, if nothing else.

    Question about drone strikes

Thanks; it's just sometimes I wonder whether I'm doing the right thing. I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to wonder about it or not.
