    NAPS Waitlisted

DS was waitlisted for NAPS 2023, he came off the waitlist May 27, 2022 over a month after he was waitlisted. The wait can be long but several others received offers that year. He was not waiting on medical waiver, I will say he was moved when someone else declined.

    HUGE bummer

DS went to CVW was NAPS waitlisted, got his NAPS appointment and now at USNA. DD was never invited to CVW received LOA and appointment to USNA. Their friend was never invited to CVW got an appointment, CVW does not increase chances for an appointment.

I don't want to be in the academy anymore, but I also cant leave

OP, I hope you're still there, my plebe is going through a difficult plebe year as well and as a mom I can tell you that your family will support your decisions as long as you are running to something and not away from something as someone in these forums told me before. If you are close to...

    BGO Interview

    NAPS help and advice

DS was so miserable in NAPS but he knew it was where he needed to be. He really struggled and now as a plebe he continues to say "I am so glad I went to NAPS". At the time of graduation he couldn't believe he made it and graduated. As a parent, my advice is constant reminders of how good they...

    Parents Visiting Plebes/Mids - Adjustments & Independence

DD asked us to come over labor day weekend but didn't make sense since we were there for PPW weeks prior. We told her academic year will start and we will see how she was adapting and if needed will book something a week prior. Last week she said thx for not booking anything, she had so much...

    "incomplete" status

Roller coaster I: Get You (The Parents) Through Plebe Year - Class of ‘27 🎢

She will She will soon make new relationships and lifetime friendships. HS friends may be busy getting ready for college and they don't realized how different it is for academy kids. I did reached out to DS friends when he first went missing and asked them to write, 2 of them did right away. I...

Roller coaster I: Get You (The Parents) Through Plebe Year - Class of ‘27 🎢

I know how you may be feeling but it will get better. My plebe went MIA from pictures for over a week so I knew he was probably sick. Finally snail mail showed up, he had a bad concussion and was SIQ. I think technology and pictures are great but when we stop seeing them we get alarmed. I even...

    Current Napster (C/O ‘23), AMA!

I just saw your post, hopefully not too late. You don't get your company info until you report. Napsters can give to their parents after oath ceremony, if parents are not there ask for a phone and call home to give the info to parents. Our letters took over 10 days to get to our Napster. You...

Roller coaster I: Get You (The Parents) Through Plebe Year - Class of ‘27 🎢

Back at home since Saturday, adapting to the change w/o DD and DS (still have an incoming freshman that keeps us busy). I'm so thankful to technology, we have seen pics of them almost every day, I found one where my DD was smiling to the camera, that tells me is not that bad for her :wiggle:

    I'm thinking of bailing

Feeling cold feet is normal, you are not the only one feeling like this and you will be fine. You earn your spot because admissions believes in you and they are willing to invest in your future. No one is really ready but you can do this!
