Hey! I'm set to graduate OIT in a week! I'm eating 12 peanuts daily and about to submit proof of a successful ingestion test to my ROTC Brigade medical team. The OIT has worked well - but I still don't have a determination on the waiver. How's your progress?

I haven’t started the OIT process as I’ve just learned that my allergy was disqualifying. I’m curious what type of OIT you are going through, palforzia or something else? Additionally how high were your IGE levels? My allergist is wary of me starting OIT due to my IGE. But congratulations best of luck on receiving your waiver.

My IGE Level for peanut was a 42 at the start of OIT. I am doing oral ingestion therapy as palforzia takes much, much longer. I started off at 0.000g1 of a peanut and in 9 months, I'm able to eat 12 peanuts a day. My ROTC battalion gave me permission to stay in the program as a cadet while pursuing treatment- I just hope it pays off! Hmu with any questions as needed.
