I know this is a bit of a different issue, but wanted to see if any of you knew the answer. If someone goes through NROTC, can they get commissioned into a different service (AF) upon graduation? If so, would it make a difference is he/she was on NROTC scholarship?

@kinnem Thanks, got the letter in the mail today and it says Tier 1. The website and email did not have that information.

@ProudDad17 Thanks, but I am looking for what Tier the awarded scholarship is for. I see on these boards that people were awarded Tier 1, 2, etc, but I don't see on the award which Tier the scholarship is for. Do I just assume that it is for the major that was listed?

Where did you see the Tier of the scholarship, for the required major? I don't see it in the email or on the portal.

@Seahunt Did your admissions acceptance notification on the guest portal indicate anything about CC? I don't see anything there and am wondering if that is normal.

I am curious about the Emerging Leader Scholarship. Did you receive those with the initial Financial Aid award statement received from VT just after being admitted, or was it later? Just received award statement today and curious if there are other scholarships awarded later in the process.

Does the Air Force award scholarships for students already in college? On the ROTC website I only see information for scholarships for current high school students. Does anyone have experience receiving a scholarship as a college freshman or older?
