    Any recommendations on where to stay when visiting Norwich fit family weekend etc?

    The closest nice hotel to Norwich is the Comfort Inn in Barre. I like it, it's just two exits away, free cookies and drinks, but it gets booked fast for big Norwich events. If you are visiting a Rook for family weekend I recommend staying in White River Junction, far enough away so they don't have to wear the uniform, there's a Walmart for picking up things they need, etc

    Also my cadet's friends parents booked an Airbnb which was the same price as a hotel room Cooked a big pasta meal for their kid and a few of the kid's buddies. The house had a hot tub and a big screen tv so the kids had a great day relaxing and hanging out and the parents got to know their kid's buddies. Then the friends went back to campus, and the parents spent the night relaxing at the house with their cadet.

    Great thank you so much for the information! Our son went to FLC camp last summer and loved it there! We’ve never been so it’s all new to us. He received both the Navy and Army ROTC scholarships so he’s debating which one he’s going to go with.

    True, I live in South Carolina and the Covid restrictions are very lax, basically wear a mask. Norwich is really trying, but they are bound by Vermont’s strict rules. Morale was at a low point during room quarantine. I think 30% of students have gone home since all online now. I expect fall semester to be back to reasonably normal.
