Does anyone know how to request an educational delay in Navy ROTC? Additionally, do you know all that is needed to put in a request for an educational delay? Do we need letters of recommendations and things??

Are you referring to a need to delay the start of your first semester under a scholarship? You can start by reaching out to NSTC using the email in your initial scholarship notification.

"Although Navy Option midshipmen may indicate their interest in graduate education during serviceassignment (i.e. when submitting their Service Assignment/Duty Preference Form) all official requests forGraduate Education LOA must be submitted to NSTC N93. In doing so, midshipmen must indicate theirdegree interest, the school they plan to attend, and the anticipated length of the LOA. In addition, theyshall provide a current transcript and either a completed application or proof of acceptance into a graduatedegree program. Students scheduled for commissioning 1 October through 31 March must submit theirrequest to NSTC N93 no later than 1 August of the year prior to commissioning. All requests forgraduate study LOA must be received by N93 no later than eight months prior to the requester’sscheduled graduation date. Upon receipt, NSTC N93 will screen the packages for eligibility, makeassignments, and coordinate community manager review. Upon receipt of community managerconcurrence, the PNS is responsible for tracking the midshipman’s acceptance into a graduate degreeprogram prior to commencement of LOA. NSTC N93 will notify those midshipmen approved forgraduate education LOA"

I did an educational delay; your 1/C Advisor needs to reach out ASAP to your community detailer and the civilian in charge of service assignment.
