USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

What is status on waitlist? Who gets first dibs on waitlist? Admissions makes it very unclear how the waitlist process goes. I presume it goes to FFS recipients first but I am unsure.
 
In the past, there was a group of qualified applicants who didn't make the cut for a direct appointment but were identified as being overqualified for Prep of FFS offers. Presumably these were the individuals on the "waitlist," but they were not informed of their status.

It is unclear if this admissions still runs things this way. I think I saw a post from a person who was applying with 2 years of civilian college and they received a FFS this cycle. To me that seems inconsistent with the way things were done in the past.
 
it could be the end of appointments... last year's thread only had about 10 more people in the end.

Well I don’t have a nomination and I’m medically disqualified 😂 I know it’s coming I was just hoping for prep school.
 
Looks like there are more folks stuck in frozen land here in USAFA than others. 😂

Feeling frozen here as well - lol. Having all the checkmarks green and the encouraging "Decision Letter" in the portal is great, but waiting on the ultimate word is increasingly excruciating! Waiting to exhale. :)
