USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

Hi all! I want to give a shout-out to every single person on this thread! I have been watching and experiencing all the emotions with you. I just want all the USNA people (hopefuls and otherwise) to know that you ROCK! There is a thread just like this for the other SAs, and those threads don't even compare with the heart and personality of this thread. This is how I know USNA is amazing! The USAFA thread has 790 comments, USMA has 552 (as of a few minutes ago), and this thread has a whopping 3,840!!! That's passion . . . or obsession . . . or both! :p My DD accepted her appointment to USMA, but I can't wait to see all the amazing Navy people at the Army/Navy game. 🏈

I get the impression that you might have a child who is perceived as exceptionally talented or successful, and that you are a parent who has certain advantages or benefits that others may not have. Good luck.

Chances are, if you stumble across this forum and you are active within it, you are more proactive with your admissions (you care more than the average joe..) and the fact that no one on this forum has posted about an appointment is absolutely insane.

I didn't discover SAF until two of my kids had graduated from usna and my third was considering it. With the first two I never even saw their portal and received all info about their application process directly from them. None of my kids or my alumni husband have ever been here on SAF - it is not necessarily a representation of the applicant or matriculated community. I would not presume this community is more proactive with admissions or its members care more than the average joe.

I came on here after my son got an LOA and nomination because he was colorblind.

I suspect really smart and active candidates can handle the process - if my kid could, anybody can. It seems to me the instructions were excellent.

Most of the questions on here aren’t about how to successfully complete a package.
 
Still pending here also as of 9 pm. Received a reply from an email I sent in March today (they don’t normally respond to my emails). Could this be a good sign!?!? (Not that it’s related to my appointment)
